Sergei Belik is a Ukrainian artist born in Odesa in 1953. He graduated from the Grekov State Art College in Odesa and St. Petersburg Mukhina Higher Art and Industry Academy with M.A. in Fine Arts. Belik established his authentic style that is a mix of realism and metaphysical synthetism greatly inspired by both Georgio Morandi and Odesa’s native – Yuri Yegorov. Belik’s works are mainly painted in three subject matters: still life, seascape/landscape and rarely portraits. The artist started exhibiting his works in the United States of American as early as late 1990s at Alla Rogers Gallery in Washington, D.C. and had several solo shows at the Ukrainian Institute of America in New York.
